Add modifier categories

I. PURPOSE

Create Modifier categories to help restaurant staff quickly select customer preferences when taking orders.

II. INSTRUCTION STEPS

Step 1: Add a New Modifier Category

1. On the Dashboard, go to Menu.
2. Open the Modifiers tab.
3. Click Add modifier category.

Step 2: Enter Modifier Details

• Enter the modifier options (e.g., Extra meat, No onion, Less spicy).
• Set the price for each modifier if applicable.

Configure Selection Rules

The restaurant can configure how customers select modifiers using the following options:

🔹 Case 1: Enable Multi Select

When Multi Select is enabled:

• The system displays Min–Max selection settings.
• The manager can define:
  • Minimum number of modifiers customers must select
  • Maximum number of modifiers customers can select

Important Notes:

• The Min field is optional.
• The Max field is required and must be greater than or equal to the number of available modifiers.

If No max value is selected:

• The Max field will be hidden.
• The system automatically allows customers to select up to all available modifiers in the category.
• The Max value will automatically update if modifiers are added or removed.

🔹 Case 2: Enable Multi Select + Required

• The system defaults to Min = 1, Max = 1.
• The manager can adjust these values as needed.
• Customers are required to select at least one modifier.

🔹 Case 3: Enable Required Only (No Multi Select)

• Customers must select exactly one modifier.
• Min = 1
• Max = Total number of available modifiers in the category
• The Max value automatically updates if modifiers are added or removed.

Click Save to apply the configuration.
