Add modifier categories

I. PURPOSE

Create Modifier categories to help restaurant staff quickly select customer preferences when taking orders.

II. INSTRUCTION STEPS

To add a Modifier category, follow these steps:

1. Go to Menu / Modifiers.
2. Click Add.
3. Enter the Modifier category information.

The restaurant can apply the following settings:

Case 1: Enable Multi Select

When Multi Select is checked:

• The system displays Min–Max options.
• The manager can define the minimum and maximum number of modifiers that can be selected.

Notes:

• When Multi Select is enabled:
  • The Min field is optional.
  • The Max field is required and must be greater than or equal to the number of available modifiers.
• If No max value is selected:
  • The Max field will be hidden.
  • The system automatically sets the maximum selectable modifiers equal to the number of available modifiers in the group.
• The Max value will automatically update if modifiers are added or removed from the category.

Case 2: Enable Multi Select and Required

• The system defaults Min/Max = 1.
• The manager can adjust the numbers as needed.
• Customers are required to select at least 1 modifier in the category.

Case 3: Required without Multi Select

• Customers must select 1 modifier in the category.
• Min = 1
• Max = Total number of available modifiers in the category
• The Max value will update automatically if modifiers are added or removed.

• Click Save
