Set up restaurant layout

I. Purpose

The manager can set up the restaurant layout in order to facilitate the staff in taking order, reservation and checking out.

III. Instruction steps
1. Add areas on the management page

At Restaurant layout settings on Getting started screen, select Restaurant layout settings

Click Edit and select Add area to add areas in the restaurant and fill in the area name in Area name. Drag and drop table to the area.

If you want to edit table name, number of seats, table type, click on the table to be edited. Enter new information.

To change the size of the table, press and hold the iconand zoom in or out according to the actual table size.

To duplicate the table, click the icon

To delete the table, click the icon

Here is how the area looks:

Moreover, you can select Delete area to delete the unused areas.

2. Quickly set up restaurant layout and add background image on the management page

The manager can quickly reset the restaurant layout in either of these ways:

Option 1: Select Quick settings

– Enter number of tables

– Select table type (Round hoặc Square) and Number of seats each

– Enter number of tables each row (Table row number)

– Enter prefix and start from.

Then, click OK.

Cách 2: Use mouse to drag and drop tables in order to change the position of tables.

Hold down the left mouse button and drag the table to the desired location. Edit the table as instructed in step 1.

And you can choose a background image for the layout so that restaurant staff can easily visualize it when arranging tables for customers by clicking Select background to upload an image. If you do not want to use the background image, click Remove background.

Click Save

After settings, here is how the area looks:

3. Set up and edit restaurant layout on POS

Go to Tables.

Click the iconto edit restaurant layout.

Select areas to edit. Click the table to be updated. Here you can update:

  • Table name
  • Number of seats
  • Table type: round or square

If you want to zoom in or out tables, press and hold the iconand move to the desired size.

To move table, press and hold the table and move it to the desired location on the layout.

Click the iconto duplicate table.

Click the icon
to delete table.

To add table, select the table type and drag it to the desired location. Edit the table information as instructed above.

To delete an area, click the iconin the area to be deleted and select Delete. Then, click Save to save changes.

IV. FAQs

1. During sale, can the manager edit the restaurant layout?

Yes. The manager can edit it, but the manager should proceed it in off-peak hours.

2. How many tables can be set for 1 area?

Maximum 100 tables.

3. If the restaurant uses 7-inch tables for the waitstaff, how many tables should the manager set up for 1 area?

Maxium 50 tables.

4. If 1 area has more than 50 tables, what should the manager do?

The manager should split into smaller areas.
