I. Purpose
This feature allows restaurants to issue and use gift cards so customers can conveniently pay for purchases at the restaurant’s POS within a specified period.

III. Instruction steps
1. Create a gift card
- Log in to the POS using your account.
- On the main screen, select Gift Card.

- Open the Issue tab.

The system will display the gift card information form.
- Enter the gift card number in the Code field.You can either:
- Enter the gift card code manually, or

- Click the scan icon to scan the QR code.

- Enter the amount to be added to the gift card in the Top-up field.
- Select the gift card validity period:
- Unlimited: The gift card does not have an expiration date.
- Limited: The gift card expires after a specified period.
By default, the system selects Unlimited.
- If you select Limited:
- Choose Days or Months.
- Enter the number of days or months.
- The default expiration period is 30 days.
- If you change the unit from days to months, the value in the field remains unchanged.
- The system automatically calculates and displays the gift card’s expiration date.

- Click Add to cart to save the gift card information.

After completing the information for one gift card, you can continue adding more gift cards.
2. Edit gift card information
If any gift card information is incorrect:
- Click the Edit icon next to the gift card.
- Update the gift card information in the panel on the right.
- Click Update.
The system will update the selected gift card in the list on the left.

Gift Card Information Requirements
| Field | Description | Format Requirements |

| Code | Enter the gift card number manually or scan the QR code. | The code must contain letters and/or numbers and must not exceed 36 characters. When scanning a QR code, the system recognizes the code printed on the card. |
| Top-up | Enter the amount to add to the gift card. | The field supports up to 14 digits, including the two decimal places after the decimal point. The top-up amount must be greater than 0. |
If the gift card code has already been issued or used, the system will display the following warning: The card number has been issued or used. Please check again.
Click Done to return to the gift card information screen. The information you entered will remain unchanged.

3. Pay for the gift card
- Click Pay to open the payment screen.

- Enter the customer’s information.
- Select a promotion, if applicable.
- Select a payment method, such as Cash or Card.
- Complete the signature process, if required.
- Click Pay to complete the transaction.

- Select how to send the gift card information to the customer.
- Click Done to complete the transaction.

4. Configure the cashier signature requirement
To require a signature when paying for a gift card, configure the following setting on the Management page:
- Go to Settings → Sales.

- Scroll down to the Payment section.
- Click edit button.
- Check Require cashier to sign before issuance, top-up and redemption of gift cards.
- Click Save.

IV. Notes
- A gift card cannot be used to pay for transactions related to gift cards.
- A receipt can only be printed after the entire transaction has been paid.
- Taxes and fees do not apply to gift card payments.
- The entire bill must be paid in full. Partial payments are not supported.If you return to the previous screen while processing a payment, the system will display the following warning: The order must be fully paid. Please check again.
- Only the Add Other Promotion promotion type can be applied when paying for a gift card.
- Tips cannot be added when issuing a gift card.
The gift card has now been successfully issued and paid for.
