Kiosk Setup

I. PURPOSE

The customers can place orders and make payments directly at the kiosk without waiting to be served.

II. INSTRUCTION STEPS

1. Install Kiosk app

On the dashboard, go to Applications and find Kiosk app.

Click Install.

And then click Install.

2. Customize Kiosk Appearance

Use the Appearance tab to update the media that plays on the kiosk’s attract loop and to apply your brand elements.

1. Open the Appearance tab
   • On the kiosk settings screen, choose Appearance in the left-hand menu.
   • Click the Edit icon in the upper-right corner of the panel.
2. Choose media type
   • Select Image (default) or Video.
   • The preview area refreshes immediately so you can see your selection.
3. Manage attract-loop images
   • Three default images are displayed as thumbnails beneath the preview.
   • To replace or add an image, click the plus icon and upload a new file.
   • Hover over any existing thumbnail and click the X icon to remove it if needed.
4. Add branding
   • Upload your restaurant logo.
   • Pick your primary brand color to ensure the kiosk matches your visual identity.
5. Save or discard changes
   • Click Save to apply the new appearance.
   • Click Cancel if you decide not to keep the changes.

Your kiosk will now display the updated images / video and branding in its attract loop.

3. Configure Kiosk – Order Settings

Use the Order Settings tab to customise what guests see when placing an order on the kiosk.

1. Open Order Settings
   In the left-hand menu, click Order Settings, then hit the Edit icon.
2. Choose Order Types
   • The kiosk shows Take Away by default.
3. Add Quick Suggestions (optional)
   • In Special Request → Request Suggestions, type up to 6 common notes (e.g., “No ice”, “Extra spicy”).
   • These shortcuts speed up ordering for your customers.
4. Select Customer Information to Collect
   • Tick Collect customer name and phone number if you need contact details for order tracking or loyalty programs.
5. Save or Cancel
   • Click Save to apply the changes.
   • Click Cancel to discard them.

4. Configure Payment Methods

1. Open Payment Settings
   • In the left-hand menu, click Payment Settings, then select the Edit icon.
2. Enable / Disable Methods
   • Credit Card and Cash are turned on by default (checkbox ✓).
   • Untick any method you don’t want to accept on the kiosk.
3. Review Tax & Fee Policy
   • The banner at the top reminds you that all kiosk payments follow the rules set in System settings → Purchase – Sale.
   • If you need different tax or fee behavior, adjust it there first.
4. Click Save to apply the new payment configuration, or Cancel to discard.
