I. Purpose
The restaurant can categorize food and beverage items into appropriate menu groups. This helps staff easily search for items and assist customers when taking orders.
II. Instruction steps
To create menu categories, follow these steps:
Go to Utilities/ Menu/Categories. Click Add and enter the required information.

Add the menu category.

After successfully creating the category, sales staff will see menu items displayed by group, making it easier to search and serve customers.

Notes
- Newly added items will appear at the top of the Utilities list.
- To edit or delete a menu category, select the category name on the left side of the screen. Then choose Edit, Delete, etc., from the toolbar.
- Use the Up/Down buttons to change the order of items within a category.
The order in the Utilities determines the order in which items appear on the staff order-taking screen. - The Processed at field allows you to specify the preparation area (commonly used for restaurants with multiple kitchen/bar stations).
Items assigned to a specific preparation area will be automatically sent there when ordered.
Additionally, menu categories can also be created directly on the PC/POS device.
