Move Items

I. Purpose

Allow cashiers to move items to another guest within the same order or to another order in the following situations:

• Move items to another guest.
• Move items to another order.

II. Instruction steps

1. Move Items to Another Guest

Follow these steps:

1. Open the guest’s order, or click the three-dot icon and select Edit order.
2. Right-click the item you want to move and select Move to guest.
3. Enter the quantity to move and select the guest you want to move the item to.
4. Click Done.

The item is moved to the selected guest.

2. Move Items to Another Order

a. Move Items to an Existing Order

1. Open the guest’s order, or click the three-dot icon and select Edit order.
2. Right-click the item you want to move and select Move to other order.
3. Select Move to existing order, then select the order you want to move the item to.
4. Click Save.

The item is moved to the selected existing order.

b. Move Items to a New Order

1. Open the guest’s order, or click the relevant icon and select Edit order.
2. Right-click the item you want to move and select Move to other order.
3. Select Move to new order to move the item to a new order.
4. Click Save.

The item is moved to a newly created order.

Notes

• If the order has only one guest, the item is moved to Guest 1.
• If the order has more than one guest, the item is moved to the shared items section of the order.
